Modus Panel Rewards Terms and Conditions


Charity Dollars

Charity dollars are earned for every survey completed. Amounts may vary per survey but usually they will not be less than $10. When charity dollars are being offered the panel member will be provided with notice that charity dollars are offered and of the number of charity dollars being offered.

Charity dollars are held in an account that Modus maintains for each panel member and are redeemable by donating to an approved registered charity of each member’s choice at the end of the calendar year. If a panel member chooses to donate their charity dollars at the end of the calendar year, Modus will confirm with the panel member the donation amount and charitable organization. A tax deductible charitable donation receipt will be issued to the panel member.

Modus uses reasonable efforts to ensure that charity dollars are credited and debited appropriately; however, panel members should review their account to ensure that their account correctly identifies the earned points and reflects all of the appropriate redemption transactions. If you feel that your account was not credited or debited correctly or reflects incorrect redemption transactions, please send an email to panel@modusresearch.com or call us at 1-800-254-6944. Modus will use reasonable efforts to investigate the matter and to respond back to the panel member promptly. Modus’ decision is final and binding.

Panel members may donate their charity dollars to a registered charity of their choice. All charities selected by members must be a registered charitable organization as recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency.

Charity dollars may be redeemed at any time – this is a choice that the panel member makes (it is not done automatically by Modus). Otherwise, charity dollars will continue to accumulate. Redeeming charity dollars is done by simply identifying the registered charity for donation and confirming this selection with Modus when requested.

Charity dollars do not expire, unless a panel member elects to remove themselves from the panel or becomes inactive (a panel member is deemed inactive after not responding to requests to participate in three consecutive surveys). If your account is terminated, whether by you or by Modus, your unused points will be cancelled and voided.

Transference of Charity Dollars

Panel members may not transfer, assign, or pledge charity dollars to any other person or party. Panel members have no property rights or other legal interests in any charity dollars granted in connection with Modus’ rewards program. Charity dollars have no cash value.
